We look forward to welcoming you on the day.
The Lifeboat Quay Partners have an exciting announcement to make.
Lifeboat Quay Medical Centre and The Adam Practice will be merging. This means that we will be one large practice of over 40,000 patients across 5 sites.
We would like to reassure you that there are no plans to close Lifeboat Quay Medical Centre site or to reduce clinical services. The merger will give us opportunity to combine our clinical experience and resources for the greater benefit of our patients. Dr Scott, Dr Guduru and Dr Pennell will continue to work at the Lifeboat Quay site for the foreseeable future.
As Partners, we are immensely proud of our team, and can assure you that patient and staff welfare are always at the forefront of any decision that we make. We will work hard to ensure that the process of merger is as smooth as possible with minimised disruption to patients from The Adam Practice and Lifeboat Quay Medical Centre.
There is a clear push from NHS England to work as bigger GP surgeries and there have been numerous GP surgeries merging both nationwide and in Dorset. This means that we have lots of advice from others that have gone through the process and hope we can use their experience to make it as smooth as possible for everyone.
More information will be available soon and we will be engaging with patients and other services in due course. Please watch Social Media, this website or practice noticeboards for updates and how you can have your say.
